We're Having A ...........

We had our twenty week ultrasound yesterday and everything went great! I was pretty uncomfortable at first because I had to have a full bladder but I did get to empty it after the first part and then I was able to completely enjoy the rest of the ultrasound! We loved our ultrasound tech...she was so informative and helpful and sweet! She reassured us that she would not tell us the sex of the baby unless she was 99.99999% sure so we felt good about the results! She spent some time looking at some very important measurements: the brain, the heart, the leg bones, the arm bones, etc. and then she got to the gender part!!! We were absolutely stunned to find out we are having A BOY!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Jennifer and Eric Heuer are the proud parents of a precious and active little boy! We got to see him move around a ton and we think he may favor his left hand. He waved it and even pointed at us with his left hand! All along we have felt like it was probably a girl so when she told us boy, we were shocked but SOOOOO excited! I thought Eric was going to go through the roof! Neither one of us stopped smiling yesterday! After the ultrasound, we met with the doctor and she said he looked absolutely perfect! All of his measurements were normal and he was actually two days ahead of schedule! Now that could always change but that's how it looked yesterday! I would venture to say it was our most fun appointment yet! We are thrilled and so thankful for all the prayers that were said yesterday from our dear friends and family! Thank you for your love and support! We love you all AND we love our precious boy!!!

And most importantly, thank you Jesus for this tiny miracle boy. He doesn't even weigh a pound yet but you are forming him and growing him the way you want him. Thank you for using me as your vessel!

My Sweet Pregnant Friend and Me!

Week 19

Week 19
Baby's Length: 6 in.
Baby's Weight: 7.5 oz.
Baby's Size: Magic 8-Ball
We're moving right along! Next week we will be able to find out the gender of our sweet baby! That was quite a debate for some time in the Heuer household but I think we've finally decided to find out and then we will just keep our little name a secret! We're very anxious to find out the sex of the baby so we can begin praying specifically for a girl or a boy and so we can prepare ourselves mentally for what's to come!
I'm beginning to think my nausea is going to stick around for a while. Just this morning I had another "throw up" experience. UGH! Even though I feel so yucky most mornings, I know it will be so worth it when I hold my little miracle in my arms!

Week 18
Baby's Length: 5.5 in.
Baby's Weight: 5.5 oz.
Baby's Size: Gerber Daisy

Here are our precious one's stats for this week! I've been a bit under the weather this week with a pretty bad cold but I think I'm finally starting to see the other side of it! Praise the Lord! Even though I've been sick, I've still felt the subtle movements of my miracle! Thank you for your prayers for our family! Love to you all!!!

17 weeks

Hello dear family and friends! Here is my 17 week belly! The next several weeks are very important for our sweet baby. It is going through quite a growth spurt, which inevitably means I also, will be going through a growth spurt! I will try to update often with pictures!
As far as the the pregnancy goes, I'm still dealing with nausea. Some days I feel like it's getting better and some days I feel like I'm really backsliding. There has been one item that I have wanted throughout this pregnancy and it has been anything frozen and slushy! I love Icee's, Arctic Rush's from Dairy Queen, Slushies from Sonic and Popsicles! Our freezer is stocked with Popsicles! And in the past several weeks I have definitely had my fill of cheeseburgers! I feel like my body is telling me, "You need protein...eat lots of it!" There have been a couple days when I have had more than one cheeseburger! With all this being said, surprisingly, at my 16 week appointment, I had only gained 6 pounds. I'm still able to fit into my pre-pregnancy pants and jeans, I just can't button them so I often wear my Bella Band which goes over my waist to keep my pants up! I love it!
Thank you dear Lord for the growth that's taking place with our baby. We ask that you continue to grow this child up to be a strong being for You! We entrust this unborn child to you, for he/she is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image!
Thank you to all who read this to keep updated with us. Please continue to pray for us as we prepare to be parents and pray for our little miracle!
Love to you all,
The Heuers

We're Moved!!!

Derby wasn't quite sure what to think of the new place and is still trying to figure out where we are and if we're leaving again soon! He's been a trooper, though!

Eric did not want me to take his picture but I wanted everyone to see how hard he was working!

Well, we are officially residents of Fishers, IN. We had our closing on Wednesday for our house and everything went well. The people who bought the house seemed very nice and very excited about their new home! I was relieved when that was over with. On Tuesday evening, Eric said, "I just can't wait for Thursday to get here because I know once it does, that means our move is finished." In a way he was right but oh how we have boxes to go through! There are so many boxes full of things that need to find a home within our new home. It's not easy moving from a house to an apartment but we are excited to make it homey! My sister, Jess helped with the bookshelf, among many other things!!!

We started our move on Thursday night with the truck rental. We have such wonderful friends who helped us get the truck loaded. Thank you, friends!!!! We left Ft. Wayne on Friday morning and headed down to Indy. We got checked in at the apartment complex, signed the lease agreement, handed over the cash and then left our sweet brother Ian to carry in boxes while we left to go hear our baby's precious heartbeat again! Everything at our appointment went great. The heart rate was a healthy 153 beats per minute! Thank you, Jesus!!! Then we came back to the apartment to finish unloading the truck. I, of course, couldn't lift anything and I felt at a loss in the apartment because I didn't know where to begin and I didn't have all of the boxes so I kind of just played the part of cheerleader and encouraged my workers! My mom soon joined us and was wonderful in the kitchen! She unloaded boxes and set up our (VERY SMALL) kitchen! My dad soon came also to help Eric and Ian with the big stuff. Our friends Brock and Angie also came and brought their precious little Mia! She's a doll! Once the truck was unloaded, Eric, myself and my parents headed back to Ft. Wayne to stay the night there. We started our Saturday very early with more packing and lifting and moving. We finally all made it back down to Indy safely. My dad and Eric were only in Indy for about 2 hours before they headed BACK to Ft. Wayne to return the truck. This wasn't just any ol' trip to Ft. Wayne though, it was in an ice storm. I was so glad to have my husband and my dad back in Indy that night. We spent Sunday at the apartment working and trying to get things unpacked and then we both headed up to Ft. Wayne on Monday to clean and put the finishing touches on the house before the closing on Wednesday.
Once we have everything in it's place, I'll take pictures of the apartment for everyone to see. Hopefully it doesn't take me until the baby is here!
A huge thank you is necessary for all our friends and family who helped us with our move. We love you and appreciate you more than you know! Thank you for your love, prayers and support!
