ABC's and 123's

Isaiah is getting better and better at his alphabet and his counting! I could just listen to that little voice forever! :)

I could just eat them up....

These boys just get sweeter and yummier each day! I love each moment I get to spend with them (I even try to rejoice in the sleepless moments and remember that there are women who would LOVE to lose sleep from a precious baby!)

So much has been happening in the past few weeks, especially with our Noah. He is growing and changing so rapidly it is hard to keep up. We took the boys for well-check visits a couple weeks ago and they are both healthy and wonderful! Isaiah was 29 pounds and Noah was 17 lbs. 14 oz. The biggest shock of the visit was that Noah's head is in the 90%. WHAT??!? My babies heads have always been small! Honestly, I think maybe the nurse mis-measured a little bit, however, Noah's head shape is very different from Isaiah's so I suppose she wasn't too far off!

Noah had cereal for the first time just a couple days before he turned 6 months. He was not a fan of plain cereal so after a few tries I quickly added some other flavors and he started doing much better. He is now eating like a champ and eating a TON! He's tried carrots, peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, pears and bananas. He wasn't too crazy about peas at first but they have grown on him and he's doing much better!
This picture is from his first experience with cereal! Isaiah loves Noah's head for some reason and anytime he kisses him, it's always on the head!
Noah was trying to get a closer look at the sting rays
Isaiah and daddy having a moment on the beach
Isaiah loves the beach!
Noah has gotten really great at sitting on his own! He still topples occasionally but is pretty good about catching himself!

Ah.....my boys
Oh that face....
Loving daddy's hat!

So sweetCousins!
Uncle E thought it would be fun to bury Isaiah in the sand. He is very excited about it in this picture but it did have to grow on him! And it didn't last long! :)

This is the face Isaiah makes when you ask him to close his eyes! So cute!!!
Isaiah is doing great and has quite the vocabulary (and personality!). It seems as though he says new things everyday and we are seeing him understand things more and more. He cracks us up everyday and we love his little personality. He is so sweet and loves to love on us. At night when we are going through our bedtime routine, his way of stalling is to have Eric and I both pray. He asks one of us to pray first then the other one has to pray also. Then he starts jibbering words we don't understand and we just have to walk out. Then he goes to sleep quickly and easily but he tries to prolong it with prayer! Maybe he'll just be a big prayer warrior one day! He also insists on praying at each meal and this is his prayer every single time, "Dear Jesus, please keep mommy daddy safe, Amen." He loves his brother and loves that his brother loves him! He often says, "Noah yikes me, mommy!"

Noah is wonderful, as well. He is scooting and army-crawling everywhere! He is also putting everything in his mouth. I really have to scan the area when I put him down and make sure there is nothing that could hurt him! He is eating solids twice a day and I think he's just about ready for a third meal also. He is still nursing four times a day and sleeping pretty well too. He sleeps about 11 hours a night and takes two naps a day. The naps are really consistent as far as how long they are. Some days I get two 2 hour naps and other days I get an hour here and an hour there. I can't complain though because it could certainly be worse! The nurse and the doctor kind of put me in my place about his sleeping. Isaiah was an amazing sleeper and was so easy to train to sleep. Noah has been a different story but still a precious little boy. It's amazing how two people can have two little boys and raise them the exact same way and they are just so different!

I am head over heels in love with my three boys!
Have a great weekend!

Big Laugher!

Isaiah loves it when Eric spins the football on the floor and he just so happened to be holding Noah last night when he did it.  Well, needless to say, once you watch this video, you will be able to see that Noah thought it was the funniest thing he has ever seen!  It was adorable!  We just love hearing our boys laugh and this was the first time we'd heard Noah laugh this hard!  I hope it brings joy to your day like it did to ours!

Have a great weekend!!!!

Big Talker

I haven't done a video in a while so I thought I would post one of our little "Big Talker"! :) Noah loves to show off his voice and it is just so darn cute!

So Delicious...

My boys, that is!  They are so delicious!  I just love every little thing about them!  We are going through challenging times with both of them right now but NONE of it takes away from how much a momma loves her little boys! :)
This first picture is of Noah enjoying his swing and Isaiah had given him just a few toys to play with!  Sweet big brother!
Typical male....that's all!
Noah has been really enjoying his Bumbo lately!  He's getting better at sitting on his own unassisted but not there quite yet!  He would actually MUCH rather stand than sit!  He tries to stand all the time!
I love his eyes in this one!  Looks shocked by something but I don't think anything was going on!
Isaiah is so attentive to Noah!  He wanted to share Daddy's hat!
Noah is chewing....and drooling....and chewing.....and drooling!  I sure hope there's something to show for it SOON and VERY SOON!  I seriously have to change bibs and clothes several times daily because he SOAKS them!
I got some pics of the boys this morning in their matching PJ's!  TOO CUTE!  Isaiah wanted to hold Noah's hands!

Don't you just want to eat them up??????

Just a bunch of randoms...

Recently, Isaiah has been so into Noah!  He asks me all the time if he can hold him and often tries to pick him up himself.  The other day he was holding him on the couch and looked at me and said, "camera mommy".  It's not often he WANTS his picture taken but apparently he did that day!
I don't even remember the offense now but I thought this was awfully cute!  Isaiah had to stand in the corner and he took it seriously!
I was taking pictures of Noah and Isaiah needed to get in on the action!
Noah was enjoying his Bumbo and his feet! :)

We put Noah in the high chair during dinner the other night and he loved it!  No food for him yet but he enjoyed sitting with us!
I know I did a post of stroller pictures already but I loved both boy's faces in this one!
Isaiah being sweet and showing his brother a toy!
If we let him, I seriously believe Isaiah would play with play-dough for hours and hours each day!

Have an awesome weekend!

Let's go for a walk outside...

We got a double stroller a couple weeks ago and we have been LOVING our walks! :)  The boys are so good in the stroller and they both just talk and talk!
During one of our walks, I looked down and Isaiah had reached over and grabbed Noah's hand!  So precious!
I have two happy and sweet, sweet boys!

Big Changes and some cute ones

Big changes are taking place in the Heuer household!!! About a week and a half ago, we transitioned Isaiah into a "Big Boy Bed"! His crib is a converter crib so we were able to just take off the front railing and make it a day bed. He LOVES it and has done an awesome job! The first three nights I woke up to check on him around 5 am and he had rolled out of bed and was on the other side of the room. I put him back in bed and he slept until his normal wake time. We then changed which end of the bed he faced so we could see him better in the monitor and we haven't had a problem since! He has even stayed in bed once awake until we come get him! We are so proud of him!

Here is he sleeping like an angel! (And yes, he does have on Christmas jammies! I was a bit behind on the laundry, ok...)
This past Thursday, we started (duh, duh, duuuuuhhhh.....) potty training! Whew....
I am exhausted! We said goodbye to diapers and hello to big boy underwear! I fully expected going into this that it would be work but my goodness, I didn't think it would be this draining. We have seen a strong-willed streak in Isaiah for a while but NOTHING like we've seen the past four days. We have talked pretty much nothing but potty since Thursday and I think he is just so sick of it! Each day has gotten better with fewer accidents so that is a plus! I'm just asking you all to join us in prayer as we continue on with this potty journey! :) If we aren't being lifted up in prayer, I might just (literally) go insane. You think I'm joking? Well, I'm not!
I just love those little sweet cheeks! How can you get frustrated with that?????
We did have a completely dry night last night so that was great! Every little encouraging thing helps! And speaking of help, if anyone has any words of wisdom for us, we'll gladly listen! We started out trying one method and have since implemented different ideas! Keep in mind, we have a strong-willed child who doesn't seem to mind having wet underwear :) What has worked for you????
One thing I have loved about this process is seeing Isaiah run around in nothing but a t-shirt and undies! Too cute! And if you haven't potty trained anyone yet and don't really have any bits of advice but want to encourage us, we'll listen to that as well!

And here are some cute additions to this post....
A little brotherly love
This little guy is one aspect of potty training that makes it that much harder! Having to keep my eye on TWO instead of one has been challenging (thankfully I have had good help!)
Sometimes it gets exhausting entertaining a baby so you just have to hire some help!
Sometimes it's exciting to see new faces
Sometimes it's funny

Sometimes the help is weird

And one last pic...Isaiah has LOVED helping with Noah's baths recently! He loves to wash Noah's tummy and then rinse him off! They already clearly love each other to pieces and it is so fun to watch them interact! Isaiah will talk to Noah and Noah gives so many smiles, giggles and coos in return! Thank you, Lord, for these two unbelievably precious boys you have blessed us with!

Tears were streaming down my face...

This is clearly not one of my boys in this video but it had me laughing hysterically!

Maybe it's because I'm really tired.

Maybe it's because I was imagining one of my boys doing this in a few years.

Maybe it's because it really is funny.

Regardless, if you want a little chuckle, watch the boy in the red shirt do his thing! :)

Whoa....really?

Yes, really....this is my second post in two days!  Eric is out for the afternoon picking out things for a house and left me the computer!  YAY!  And it's nap time so that means mommy gets to update the blog :)  Just thought I would put some updated pictures on of the boys.  Even though I posted pics of our Indiana trip just yesterday, that trip was over a month ago and the boys have changed since then!

When I do Noah's weekly picture, Isaiah always wants to join in on the fun so every once in a while I'm able to get a shot or two of them together!
And here is my big two year old by himself!
Noah has gotten really good at tummy time and depending on the time of day, he will stay on his tummy for quite some time!  He has some really fun squeaky toys he likes to look at and play with!
Yesterday, I was able to get some really good shots of both boys.  Isaiah LOVES (and I mean absolutely LOVES) to play with water.  He loves to be in the water, he loves to "wash" dishes....anything that has to do with water, he loves it!  So, he's been helping mommy at the sink lately and yesterday Noah watched him!  It was good cheap entertainment for both boys! (And just for the record, Noah is not a thumb-sucker - yet!  But he does suck on his hands ALL the time!)
He actually took a break to smile for me!
Then he was right back to his water duties!
"Now how do I get the soap out of here?"
Oh boy, is this fun!!!!
My big brother is the coolest!
What a face!  Isn't it delicious?
In case it isn't clear, I want it to be known that I absolutely adore my boys!  I am tired and worn out at the end of each day but I would not trade this life for anything!  I feel so incredibly blessed to be able to stay home with these precious gifts.  And I am so grateful to have such an amazingly hard working husband who makes it possible for me to do so!  Thank you, Lord, for these three treasures!
xoxo
