Nonni Marcy brought a sled to Michigan so we could take pictures of the babies. I got so many cute pictures of Isaiah in the sled, but I will spare you all the time and only share a few! What a great idea Marcy!!!

Also, I wanted to share really quickly about our friends, the Sommers. Ashley will be going into the hospital tomorrow night for an induction. We are so excited for them and cannot wait to meet Lilly! Please keep them in your prayers. On our way back from Michigan, we stopped by to see them and to feed Isaiah. Here's our final picture with Ashley and her oh-so-cute belly (wish you could see it better!)

Merry Christmas #1 and Five Months
Isaiah James is Five Months Old TODAY! Happy Birthday sweet baby boy! We had to take Isaiah to the doctor today because he woke up with quite a cough yesterday. It has continued to worsen and he's had some pretty yucky diapers to go along with it! The doctor informed us that he has a viral infection and there is really nothing we can do about it! It's just going to have to run its course. :( Other than not feeling well, he is as precious as ever! And he weighed in at 15.25 pounds!!!
Each year, we get to celebrate Christmas at least three times! Once with Eric's mom and step-dad, a second time with Eric's dad and step-mom, and a third time with my family. Our first celebration this year took place in a cute little cabin in the mountains in Michigan! We had a blast! We arrived on Friday night and then took off for home yesterday morning. Our long weekend was full of eating, movies, games, puzzles, skiing, laughing and more eating! There was constantly a fire in the fireplace and we probably got about 2 inches of snow while we were there. The top picture is of our little family in our red pajamas from Nonni and Nonno. They get us all jammies each year that we get to open on Christmas Eve! How cute! Here are some more pictures to document our fabulous time together!
Ready for the slopes!
Cousins telling secrets!
Opening presents with mommy! Isaiah was so fun to open presents with! He loved the noise that the paper made and he also got pretty good at pulling at the paper! He was also pretty fascinated with all of his new toys! He loved the new noises and new sights! Thank you Nonni and Nonno for such great gifts!!!
Just hangin' out! I love Isaiah's arm in this picture! And aren't the matching p.j.'s too cute!
Playing with Nonni!
Loving on Nonno!
Bath time!!!
The brothers and their boys after a warm bath!
The babies with their grandparents!
Merry Christmas and look for more pictures to come of our other two celebrations!!! Love you all!

Tummy Time
I got some really great shots during Isaiah's Tummy Time today so I thought I would share! He is getting stronger each day and we just think he is so cute! He is so laid back and is so easy to take anywhere! We just love him to pieces and SO enjoy being with him and having him around! What a precious blessing he is to us!
He prefers to have his hands behind him during tummy time!
But he is getting better at pushing off!
We think he might be a swimmer!
I love his little hands and sweet face in this one!
Close-up shot!

Big Weekend!
It was a big weekend for Isaiah! My parents came to visit from Evansville and Isaiah was very busy! Friday afternoon, we went to visit Auntie Jess at her office because she wanted to "show off" her nephew! Boy did he get a lot of attention! :) That office LOVES babies! On Saturday, Isaiah went to meet Santa at the mall. I don't have a picture of that yet, but I will put one on here so stay tuned! Isaiah also got to try out a few new things this weekend. He got his first real Christmas present...a new high chair! He did really well in it, even though it's still a little big! He also got to play in a new toy that's been in storage because he's been too small to use it! And, he got to wear a new warm outfit because of the COLD weather and the snow!
This first picture is Isaiah showing how he can sit up on the couch like a big boy!
Here he is in his Jungle Jumperoo!
He is so serious about his play time!
Isaiah clearly liked chewing on his high chair!
And here he is taking his Sunday afternoon nap but of course cheering on the Colts with daddy!
And, finally, our precious little teddy bear, all bundled up!

A girl's night out!
Our good friend Amy celebrated her birthday on Monday! (She's the one holding the Grey Poupon!) Her sweet husband Jon rented a limo for the night for her to take her girlfriends out to dinner! We all had a great time at Palomino and then back at their place for cake. It was wonderful to get out, spend time with girls, and celebrate Amy! What a great friend she is!
From left to right, Kirsten, Natalie, Jess, Amy, Erin, Hillary, Andria, and Jennifer.
Natalie and Jennifer with the birthday girl!
Natalie has a little boy Gage who will be ONE next month! Natalie enjoyed singing to and playing with a four month old :) and Isaiah LOVED Natalie! He thought she had such a pretty voice and he was fascinated with her pretty, pretty face! Natalie is a great mommy!
And here is Isaiah with the birthday girl and his favorite babysitter! Jon was SO kind to offer to watch Isaiah while Eric was working and I was out with the girls! He did such a great job, even with Isaiah's dirty diaper :) Thank you, Jon!!!! We love the McLaughlins!

Time with Friends!
Yesterday, we got to spend some much needed time with the Taflinger family! Lisa was the friend who was pregnant while I was and it was so wonderful to go through our pregnancies together! Well now our little boys have become the greatest of friends and we are still loving going through each new phase together! I love this first picture because it looks like they are practicing their dance moves! :)
Here is a close-up of their faces! Two little angels!
This is Isaiah's first time on his daddy's shoulders! First of many, I'm sure!
And then I must end with this next picture. It seems everyone always puts pictures on here of their smiling babies and while I want to mostly do the same, I wanted to post a picture of my tired, slobbery, over-stimulated precious boy who is ready for a nap! He loves his play time but it only lasts so long!

A Few More...
I was able to get a few more pics on here. I hope this is the start of something good!
Here's a shot of our family on Thanksgiving!
These next few are of Isaiah in his exersaucer on his four-month birthday! What a big boy!!!
I love his face in these two. He's really checking out that butterfly!
Auntie Jess was here last Tuesday and had him cackling! It was so adorable!
They also had some really good reading time! Auntie Jess thought it was appropriate to read Christmas books so here they are reading about Jesus' birthday!

Here's a Start...
I'm not sure how I did it, but I was able to get these two pictures up here. I'll keep working to try to get some more. These two pictures are from when we were in Evansville for Thanksgiving!
Such a happy baby boy!!!

Four Months Old
First of all, I must apologize for not putting anything on here before now but please let me explain myself! We had our computer cleaned over Thanksgiving break and I've had a hard time getting everything back up and running. I'm still having a difficult time getting my digital camera to transfer pictures correctly and I'm really getting frustrated. Now I know some of you would rather me not even post on here if I don't have pictures to include but I felt like I needed to give an explanation!
Secondly, Isaiah was four months old on Tuesday. Weird to think how quickly time has gone but it has! And he is just so much fun! What a sweet personality he has! For the most part, he is very laid back and continues to be a great sleeper! He's now averaging 10-11 hours a night plus three naps a day that are around 1 1/2-2 hours each! The tricky part for me is just going to bed after he falls asleep for the night. I am so tempted to stay up and get things done or stay up to spend time with Eric. Nonetheless, we are so thankful that he's sleeping so well! Another little trick he's started recently is NOT taking a bottle! He only wants his mommy. Now as flattering as that is for me, it's a bit frustrating because it means I can't be far from him for very long so it's not looking like Eric and I will be able to go on any baby-free dates any time soon! That's ok though because we DO love him being around! :)
Well, unfortunately I can't include any four month or Thanksgiving pictures today. I promise I'll keep working on this and hopefully get it resolved very soon!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Ours was fantastic! We had a wonderful time in Southern Indiana/Southern Illinois with all of our friends and family! I'll try to post pictures as soon as I possibly can!
Love to you all!!!

Appointment and Friends
Well, we officially have a 16 week old baby boy! Can you believe that? As we often reflect back on the day he was born, we can hardly believe he's been around that long! And he's growing so quickly. It's such a cliche that they "grow in the blink of an eye" but boy oh boy is it true! And not only is he growing so fast, he's also turned into a very good nighttime sleeper. He's always loved to sleep (and we pray it stays that way!!!!) but he is now averaging 9-10 hours a night! Thank you Jesus! :)
OK, so we took him to the doctor yesterday for his four-month visit. It was a bit early but oh well! He weighed in at 13 1/2 pounds (our scale at home said 14 pounds but I suppose I should trust the doctor's scale a bit more!) and he measured 24 1/2 inches long! Just growin' like a weed! (I bet by the time he is officially 4 months old, he will be 14 pounds!) Everything checked out wonderful and Dr. Gollnick said, once again, that he is perfect! He also got two more shots yesterday so he was a bit ouchy last night!
Last night, we got to spend the evening with our dear friends Ashley and John Sommer! They are expecting sweet little Lilly soon and we all three cannot wait to meet her! We had such a fun time hanging out and catching up. It had been almost two months since we had seen them so they thought Isaiah looked pretty big! He wasn't quite himself since he had had his vaccines but he still flashed a few of his big gummy grins!
Here is our good little sleeper!
Isaiah has really been "entertaining" himself the past couple weeks. We can lay him on the floor on his fun play mat and he just coos and giggles and bats at the hanging toys! Eric and I get such a kick out of it because it sounds like he is just having the best conversation with someone! Luckily yesterday I was able to get it on camera so if I'm ever able to figure out how to put videos on here, I'll post it! The picture above is of him locked into something hanging above him!
He has also grown to LOVE his hands! If his pacifier is not in his mouth, his hands are! And he has been a slobbering fool! We could possibly see some teeth in the near future! We are going to have to keep a bib on him all the time if we don't want to constantly change his clothes! He's our precious little slobber box right now!
Here is Isaiah getting his diaper changed and thinking daddy is a pretty funny guy! If no one else can get Isaiah to smile, his sweet daddy can! Isaiah adores that man and so do I!
Here's Isaiah with Auntie Ash and Uncle John! Isaiah is trying to touch Ashley's belly so he can let Lilly know to get here soon and that he already loves her!
And here is John trying to give Isaiah hunting tips. From what I heard, today was opening day for gun season and John was telling Isaiah he saw a lot of deer, but not any big enough to shoot! He promised Isaiah he would take him out someday! Posted by Jennifer, Eric, Isaiah, and Noah Heuer at 11/17/2007 02:51:00 PM 2 comments
