Peek-A-Boo and Tooth

One of Isaiah's favorite games is Peek-A-Boo! We usually get some giggles out of him but I guess he wasn't in a giggly mood tonight! Still pretty cute though! Also, his first top tooth finally popped through on his 11 month birthday (Friday)! He is a bit happier now that it is through the skin a bit, but there's a little bit more of it to come through so we're still working with the baby Tylenol! :)

Four Years

It is so hard to believe that we have already been married for four awesome years! We celebrated by going out to dinner just the two of us! It was wonderful to go out on a date and celebrate US! Isaiah got to stay at home with his awesome Uncle Ian! Thank you Ian for watching our little man so we could go out! We were so at ease knowing he was in such great hands!

We went to an adorable little restaurant in Venice, FL called Cassariano. We sat outside under an umbrella and enjoyed each other's company and the wonderful Italian food! After dinner we went to the beach to catch sunset. It was a pretty cloudy night so it wasn't the greatest sunset we have ever seen but it sure was wonderful just to sit and enjoy the breeze blowing in off the ocean, and of course each other!!

I am so incredibly thankful for the amazing man God has blessed me with. I can hardly believe He has given me Eric to be my life partner! It is hard to fathom that I get to spend each day for the rest of my life with my very best friend! And get this, not only is he the hottest man to me, but he's an incredible father, an extremely hard worker, an honest man full of integrity, AND he loves Jesus! WOW...the whole package! Thank you Jesus for this man and for this marriage!

Update on the Doctor's Visit: Well, we were not crazy about the pediatrician we visited so we will be interviewing a couple more. Please pray for us that we find the perfect fit for us!

Growing...

I know pictures don't do babies justice but I'm hoping you can tell in these pictures how much Isaiah is changing and growing! Especially his hair! His hair is really getting long and thick (except on top! - I think he inherited that from his Poppa Jack!!!)

Isaiah checking out the dryer - what is this thing anyway???

This is one of those pictures that just doesn't do him (or his hair) any justice! He had the worst case of bed-head when he woke up from his nap yesterday and I tried to capture it but I don't know how well you can see it!

Lovin' on momma!

Hangin' out with daddy!

Snuggling with daddy! **Check out that hair**

I love how the boys look like they are racing in this picture!

He was really studying Uncle Ian's computer bag!

Such a happy boy!

Having so much fun with daddy!

It's so hard to believe that we will have an eleven month old baby on Friday!
Much love to you all....

P.S. We will be visiting a new Pediatrician tomorrow! Please pray for us that we like her and the practice! I'm not sure if we'll be able to find one we love as much as our Indiana doctor but we know God will provide!!! We'll keep you posted!

Determined...

...that is a trait we are quickly seeing come through in our son! He is full of determination! Especially when he sees something he wants. He will stop at nothing to get to it or touch it or move towards it! He is developing the cutest little personality and we just love it!!!

I love these jammies on him and I love how he is so focused on that dishwasher!

This is what Uncle Ian likes to do to Isaiah's hair to irritate Isaiah's mommy! :)

Here are the cousins having another wonderful moment together! They really do get along well!

Isaiah says, "what mom, I really DO want to help fold the laundry!!!"

This face is one of happiness and frustration because he likes the camera but he had gotten himself into quite the predicament (underneath the exersaucer pinned against the couch)!

I love it that he is playing on his knees in this one (with his toothbrush and a plastic container lid!)
And then there's this one.....I just love this precious face. I might be a little biased but doesn't he look angelic????

Hopefully you can see some of that determination I was talking about in this video! He LOVES his daddy's phone!

Daddy...

Dear Eric,
I have dreamt of being a mommy for as long as I can remember. Because I was four (almost five) when my sister was born, I was at an impressionable age and watched my mom so closely as she cared for Jessica. I stuffed pillows up my shirt so I could have a "baby" in my belly too! I stuck baby dolls up my shirt so I could "nurse" my baby too! I have always known I wanted to have babies and care for them and now that that time has come, I know I was meant to do this!

As soon as I knew you were the one God made to be my husband, I started dreaming about the babies we would have together! I imagined what they would look like and what traits of yours they would have. I watched you with other children and it made me so happy to see how gentle and loving you were and I could hardly wait to see you with ours!

I remember the times while I was pregnant that we would lie in bed and talk about the baby we were going to have! We spent so many hours trying to figure out the perfect name. I remember the times you would talk to my belly. I remember the times you would lovingly rub my belly. I remember dreaming together about everything we would do with this precious baby boy! I remember the day we went to the hospital to have the baby and the excitement that consumed you! I will never forget how you were that day. You were so anxious, so ecstatic! You were so supportive and encouraging. You were amazing! I will forever remember watching you the first time you held our son! The love that covered your face radiated and filled the room! At that moment, I fell in love with you all over again.

There is nothing I love to see more than you with Isaiah. The look he gets on his face when he sees you is priceless! He adores you (and so do I)! I know Isaiah will continue to adore you throughout the rest of his life and I am so thankful that YOU are his daddy!

I was so excited for you to celebrate your very first Father's Day! I know if Isaiah could say more than "da-da" and "ma-ma" and "ba-ba" and "na-na" he would say that you are the bestest daddy in the whole wide world and he is SO very lucky to have you!!! I know he would thank you for showing him what it means to love his mommy! I know he would thank you for showing him what it means to be respectful, and a hard worker, and most importantly what it means to love Jesus with all of your heart! I can't wait for all the many more Father's Days we will get to celebrate! You are so deserving of that day and I hope we always show you how very much we love you! You are incredible and I simply cannot imagine sharing this life with anyone but you!

Swimming Fun!

Our little family had a great day at the pool today! Most of us wear our bathing suits, but Isaiah would prefer to swim in his birthday suit! :) He is loving splashing right now! Here are a few shots I took and a cute video!

Splashing with daddy!

More splashing! Daddy said he was acting like he had Mountain Dew overload!

And a sweet moment with daddy! I sure do love these two!

P.S. The crazy hair is from all the sunscreen I put on his head! We sometimes think he looks like Albert Einstein!

P.S.S. Isaiah is working on one of his top teeth right now so we will keep you posted on that...shouldn't be too much longer before it makes its debut!
Lots of love to all...

All Kinds of Fun!

We have been having a blast with our little one lately! He is becoming MUCH more of a busy-body! He is always on the go! Ever since birth he has been a very laid back little boy but that is beginning to change a bit! He just wants to move, move, move! So that means mommy and daddy are moving lots too!

He is also a very good eater! We have been giving him lots more food lately for him to feed himself. The other night, I was feeding him Chicken and Rice Casserole and he kept grabbing for it on the spoon so I just put it all on the tray for him to feed himself. It got pretty messy but made for some cute pics!

Such a happy little boy!
He has also become a huge fan of avocado! We have to change his clothes after he eats it but he really likes it a lot! I may just have to have him eat it naked next time! :)
Doesn't he look so big!
Focusing on picking up the next piece!

Isaiah absolutely loves his bath time! If he's upset, we know we can put him in the tub and it will change his mood totally!
Derby really feels like he needs to be completely involved in Isaiah's bath time!
Check out that mullet! It looks much worse than it is since his hair is wet but WOW!
I had laid Isaiah down for his nap the other day and went in to check on him because he wasn't asleep yet and this is how I found him!
The next day, look HOW CUTE he is! I love that he is on his side with his ankles crossed!
Playing with one of his favorite toys...a simple little ring!
This is how we keep Isaiah from roaming around too much! Just kidding!
Isaiah and mommy having a moment yesterday after church!
Exploring in the curtains! Check out those shoes! SO CUTE!
Loves his toothbrush!
And Loves his books!
Sorry I bombarded the page with pictures but I just couldn't whittle it down any more!
Lots of love to you all!!!

Precious boy...

Here are some sweet pictures of our precious boy! I just can't express how much fun he is right now. He just absolutely lights up our lives and we adore him! I was cleaning off my camera and had to post some of my favorites!

I love this first one of my awesome boys! And Isaiah is showing off his clapping skills!
Eric worked in the garage most of the day Saturday and Isaiah was out there "helping" him! This is one I captured from that day! He sure was studying something!
Mommy and Isaiah having fun in the pool!
Isaiah's first Mohawk!
Isaiah experienced bubbles for the first time a week or so ago and wasn't so sure about them! He is such a studier and thinker and that's what he did with the bubbles!

Another shot looking at the bubbles! I could look at that sweet face ALL DAY LONG!The cousins like to stand against the glass doors and blow bubbles, smash their faces, and get the glass dirty after it's just been cleaned! But I must say, they're the cutest little fingerprints I have ever cleaned! :)

And then of course I have quite the helper in the kitchen! He loves all the contraptions he finds in there!

Much love to all....
