Nine Months Old...

Isaiah got himself in this predicament but just as quickly found his way out!

Hey momma, can I help?!

My two precious boys...of course Isaiah is studying something!

Happy water boy!

Hey, I want that camera!

Isaiah zoning and enjoying his teething biscuit!

It is so hard to believe that we have a baby boy who is nine months old. It really seems just like yesterday we were rushing around our tiny, little apartment trying to get everything in order to get to the hospital. I still remember every little detail about that day! One of the things that sticks out in my mind is the excitement I felt in knowing that in just a few short hours, I was going to have a baby. I didn't know the small little details about how long my labor would be or how the delivery would go or how much pain I would feel, but it didn't matter. What mattered most to me was that we had been given the blessing of bringing a precious life into this world. WOW! What a responsibility the Lord gave us and our prayer is that we would continue to take that responsibility very seriously with our Isaiah. I understand that He has given Isaiah to us to raise. I understand that Isaiah is God's child and we are just the chosen ones to bring him up in a way that is pleasing to our Heavenly Father. Lately I have been very weepy because my little baby is growing up so quickly. Now I am sure that some of you are chuckling as you read this because he is ONLY nine months old but the time has just flown by. And I know it will only continue to go just as fast. During these weepy times, I tend to hold Isaiah just a little longer and a little tighter. I often times will rock him just a few more minutes because I know he will never be this little again and I will never have that opportunity at that stage in his life again. There are nights after I've put my little angel to bed when I just go in his room and watch him sleep because I want to soak up every detail of him. I have also been a bit reflective recently and it is crazy to me to think that the amount of time he has been with us is now longer than the amount of time I carried him. I wish there were words to describe the unbelievably deep love I feel for him. It's like nothing you can ever tell or explain to someone, you just have to experience it. This little boy has changed me. He has caused my heart to swell like never before. I'm just crazy about him! And I'm secretly thrilled that he is a momma's boy! :)

To celebrate Isaiah's nine months of life, Eric and I wanted to compile a list a things we love about him. Now, only nine things would be a disgrace so we decided to make a list of 40 things we love about our little boy for the 40 weeks he's been on this Earth with us! We hope you enjoy...

Family Weekend

We have had such a great weekend, just the four of us (Derby included!) It has been so nice to just be us! On Friday night, we did get to go out to eat with my Nana Pat and Grandpa Ed but I forgot my camera :( We had a great time with them and enjoyed seeing them. They will be headed back to Indiana next week so it was a treat to see them before they leave!

I love this first picture of Isaiah! He was crawling on the floor and was trying to sneak in between the couch and a table. He has a look on his face like, "oops, mom you caught me!"

On Friday night after dinner, we made it home in time for sunset! So beautiful!
Momma's happy boy!

On Saturday, my boys had on very special shirts. Eric's says, "Big Guy" and Isaiah's says, "Little Guy"! Thanks to my mom (Mimi) they got to sport these shirts! They were looking mighty cute in their backwards hats and t-shirts!
We put Isaiah in the pool and actually dunked him this time! He LOVED it! He is such a water baby and absolutely loves being in the pool! He was really kicking and splashing and did not want to get out. When we did get him out, he was so worn out! He really had a good workout!
He also had his first skinny dipping experience! Isaiah, that is...not Eric! :)
Thank you so much to Nonni and Nonno for allowing our little family to spend time at the pool, just the three of us! We really enjoyed our time together!

And finally, here is a video of our little boy walking! He just loves to be walking and thinks he is pretty big stuff! :) Hopefully you can hear all of his talking, too! Just this week he has started saying, da-da, ma-ma, ba-ba, and na-na. He is a talking machine right now!

The Army Crawl

Well our little boy definitely has his army crawl mastered! And isn't he oh so cute doing it? :) Every once in a blue moon he'll get up and move A knee but usually not both. I wonder if he'll go straight to walking? Which by the way he's wanting to do that more and more while we hold his hands!

Family, Friends and Sippy Cup

Our little boy officially has two teeth! He cut his second tooth this past Thursday and once again, we're all happier because of this little tooth! With this one, the drooling picked up again big time and he had quite a runny nose!

Isaiah is also getting VERY good at his army crawl. He can get across the room very quickly and because of that, Eric and I are starting to have to "discipline" our little man! We've been saying the word "NO" a lot lately but all we usually get in return is a huge smile! It makes it pretty difficult for us but we're doing our best to be strong! Isaiah usually heads straight for our magazine basket so he can pull them out on to the floor. If it's not magazines, he likes to go for the newspaper! We think he's going to be a very good reader because of that! I keep trying to get video of the crawl but can't seem to time it right. I'll keep trying!

Ever since Isaiah found his tongue several months ago, he's been fascinated with having it out of his mouth! He has it hanging out when he's happy, sad, frustrated, mad or excited! This kid loves his tongue!

The cousins hanging out together! Notice Eli touching Isaiah's back! :)

As you can see, Isaiah's hair is really getting thick!

We were able to get a shot of our two "boys" sitting together in the back seat! These two just love each other!
This past week our great friends, The Sommers came to visit! We had such a wonderful time hanging out with them and were so sad to see them leave! When we lived in Fort Wayne, we spent a TON of time with them so it was hard for us when we moved to Fishers and now that we live in Florida, we REALLY miss them! It was great to catch up and spend so much time together! Here are the daddy's holding each other's babies!

Look at that precious little Lilly! She is getting so big and we had a great time loving on her!

We've been trying a sippy cup lately and Isaiah LOVES to play with it and chew on it. He doesn't drink out of it much because it feels so good on his gums to just chew on it!
Stay tuned for some videos!
We love you all greatly!
