Another Great Weekend!

Hey all! Isaiah here...just thought I'd take a few moments to write about my fun weekend! Actually it started out kinda rough because I had to get some shots in my legs and that was not fun at all! Something good did come out of it, though. I found out that when I'm hurting like that, mommy and daddy will give me anything I want! I got to sleep extra and they held me a lot! It was really cool because I love it when my mommy and daddy hold me! I heard the doctor say that my appetite may not be very good after the shots but I keep hearing mommy say that she thinks it increased my appetite! I've been eating a lot and for long amounts of time! Anyway, enough about those shots...

My Mimi and Pop came to visit me this weekend and we had such a fun time! When Mimi is here, she lets me sleep in her room so we can give mommy a break! On Saturday afternoon, my Uncle David and Auntie Jess came to visit me too! I really like my Uncle David. He has a good singing voice and he makes lots of funny noises with his mouth. When we posed for this pictures, I thought I would try my best Elvis impersonation. What do you think??

In this picture, I was laughing at my Aunt Jess. She's a pretty funny girl. If you don't know her, you should take the time to get to know her! I bet she would make you laugh too!

On Saturday night, we all went out to eat and I got to get out of my car seat and look around at the restaurant. I also got to talk to Pop for a while. He's a pretty funny guy, too!

I was really happy about all the time I got to spend with my Pop! I just can't wait to be big enough to go fishing and golfing with Pop! I know we're going to have a great time! Also, mommy wants me to mention my cute pumpkin shirt...it says, "Daddy's Little Pumpkin"! She thinks it's really cute along with my jeans!

It was such a busy weekend that I was so tired I fell fast asleep in my Mimi's arms on Sunday afternoon. I couldn't help it, I was just tuckered out! It sure was a great weekend, though, and I'm so glad my family came to visit me! I love them all very much!

2 month check-up

Isaiah saw his sweet doctor today for his 2 month check up. He weighed in at 10 pounds even and he was 22 1/4 in. long! He is truly thriving and for that we are so thankful!! Everything looked "perfect" the doctor said and he was on his best behavior!

He also got a couple of shots today. I don't know who it hurt the most for him to get the shots but it was extremely hard on both Eric and myself. I think Isaiah cried a little louder than mommy but mommy shed more tears. :( How awful to watch pain being inflicted upon your child. Thank you God for sending your son to die on the cross. It gives us a bit more of an idea of how painful that was for our Heavenly Father to give such a sacrifice.

On a lighter note, Isaiah had a couple of visitors this week. Eric had to work late on Wednesday night as well as Uncle David so Auntie Jess came to visit and joined us for dinner! While she was here, she got to feed Isaiah a bottle and participate in playtime. She made it interesting for him and sang all kinds of fun songs. I was able to capture her helping Isaiah with the motions to "Father Abraham"!

He loved his time with Aunt Jess and hopes she comes back soon!

He really likes her pretty singing voice!
He also had a visit from Miss Jodi! Mommy had Miss Jodi's son, Hunter in her class when she taught at Blackhawk Christian School in Fort Wayne. Before mommy and daddy moved to Fishers, Miss Jodi and Hunter and the rest of their family moved to Fishers. About a month ago, their family made another move to North Carolina. We were and are very sad about that move because we were looking forward to many fun times with the Claycomb family! Miss Jodi came back to Fishers to tie up a few loose ends and she was so nice to stop by and visit for a while on Thursday! How exciting for Isaiah to see her again before she made the trip back to North Carolina! We miss you, Claycomb family!

Isaiah is looking forward to another fun weekend! Mimi and Pop are coming up to visit from Evansville so he's ready to get spoiled again! Have a great weekend!!

Last Weekend

Sorry to be delayed in posting about last weekend. I had some pictures to get developed that I wanted to put on here so that was the hold-up!

Last weekend, we traveled up to Columbia City to celebrate Marcy's (Nonni's) birthday on Friday night.

Then "Uncle" John Sommer's birthday on Saturday night.

Isaiah also got to visit Grandpa Jim and Grandma Kathy's house on the lake for the first time! (He LOVED it!)
After all those visits and so many people loving on him, he was exhausted!!!

On Sunday night, we went to visit Uncle Jason, Aunt Erin and cousins Kate and Nick. Isaiah enjoyed looking at his Uncle Jason...

Aunt Jen enjoyed reading to Kate and Nick...

And finally, Isaiah got TERRIBLY annoyed with ALL the pictures from the weekend!

Our sweet baby boy is two months old today! WOW! It's pretty unbelievable how quickly time flies! We have his two month appointment tomorrow so I will be posting his latest stats and some new pics soon! Pray for us as we make a very important decision about vaccines and what's best for our little man. Lord, give us wisdom! We love you all!

8 weeks

I'm posting some pics of Isaiah at 8 weeks. The first one is our best attempt so far at "catching" a smile! It's not the best smile we've seen but hopefully you can see how stinkin' cute he is when he smiles! OK, he's really that cute all the time but I'm sure I'm a little bit biased! :)

The second picture is to document the extra baths Isaiah has been getting lately. I don't know if it's the diapers or the breast milk but he's been having some major "blow-outs" recently! He's kind of in a funny stage when it comes to diapers. He's too big for the newborn diapers and not quite big enough for the stage one diapers. However, we've been putting him in the stage ones! Anyhow, many baths have been a necessity!

Next, we have a shot that I absolutely love. One of our favorite things to do is go for walks with the Baby Bjorn! Isaiah is SO content in that thing and of course, mommy loves it! He just looks so happy, doesn't he???

The following pic captures my three boys! How sweet is Eric with his little boy and our guard dog?

And then an 8 week shot in his car seat! Doesn't he look studly in his Ralph Lauren polo??? :)

This past weekend was a busy one for Isaiah so stay tuned for a documentation of pictures! I'll get on that ASAP!
Hope everyone is having a great week! We love you all!!!

Some Pics

Just thought I'd update with a few new pics! We just keep falling more deeply in love with our sweet boy each day. The joy that this little life has brought to us is indescribable! Thank you, Jesus, for the gift you've given us in Isaiah. What a precious miracle!

Here I am playing on my fun mat!

ALMOST smiling! I know when mommy gets the camera out and I like to act camera shy! I really do smile all the time! (I promise I'll get one on camera soon!)

Working SO hard on my neck muscles! It didn't take much of this for me to get really mad!

And I'm all worn out from all that hard work!

I was such a good boy that daddy let me take control of the remote! I still kept it on Sports Center, though! Daddy and I like to watch that together!

6 week pictures

Isaiah got a really cute basketball player outfit from his Uncle Ian and Aunt Leah and he couldn't wait to be big enough to wear it! Well, he also got some cool basketball shoes from our friends Justin and Alyssa. Isaiah's daddy couldn't wait for him to wear those shoes! Even though they are HUGE on him right now, Eric insisted he put them on with his new outfit! They were on long enough for this picture and then they fell off! :)

I just thought this was a cute picture of Isaiah's growing double chin! Hopefully you all can tell how much he's really starting to fill out!

Now that the weather is cooling off a bit, we have been taking family walks around the "neighborhood"! We tried a couple with Isaiah in the stroller but he is such a little snuggle-bug that he prefers to be in the Baby Bjorn with mommy! He is so content when he's in there!

Isaiah is officially smiling but unfortunately we don't have proof just yet! Last night, Eric was talking to him and he was smiling quite a bit and I was standing right on top of them trying to capture his precious gummy grin! This first one shows Isaiah looking intently at his daddy who was acting goofy! The second picture shows how Isaiah feels about getting his picture taken so many times! And the last picture is the closest attempt at getting a smile I was able to capture!

We love you all so much!!!

Randoms and Labor Day Fun!

The first couple pics posted are of Isaiah at 5 weeks (which he turned last Friday!)

This "Freshly Baked" shirt he's wearing came from his Aunt Amy and Uncle Jon. He's just now big enough to wear it and it's still just a bit too big! Here is a picture of them loving on him a couple weeks ago!

This past weekend, the Heuer family traveled to Evansville, Indiana to see Jennifer's side of the family. This was Isaiah's first big "road trip" and he did GREAT! We just had to stop once to feed him on the way there and the way home! He loved staying at Mimi and Pop's house and loved meeting all of his new family! He has now met all three of his Great Grandmothers! What a treat!!!

This is Isaiah with my Nana. She is my mom's mom!

This is my Nana Pat loving on Isaiah. She is my dad's mom!

And this is Isaiah with Eric's maternal grandmother. This was a couple weeks ago but I wanted to post the three great-grandmother's together!

Isaiah also got to meet his great great aunt Carol! He loved snuggling on her chest!

And last but certainly not least, Isaiah had so much fun meeting my Aunt Vicki and her boys (Ryan and Sean) and her husband (my Uncle David) who drove all the way up from Montgomery, Alabama!!! We all had so much fun hanging out and loving on each other! It was a very full weekend but one that was all about family and memories! Thank you Swedenburg family for driving so far to see us and thank you to all of our other family members who took time out of their weekend to spend time with us! We love you all so much!!!
