A Great Traveler!!!

Well, I can't post any pictures right now but I DO have to report that we have an excellent traveler on our hands! Isaiah did amazing on the plane and we landed safe and sound yesterday afternoon! Isaiah and Elijah are best friends already and we're all having a great time! Not only was Isaiah awesome during our travel but he was a great sleeper last night. For almost two weeks now he's been sleeping through the night and being in a different bed, in a different place didn't change that! Yeah Isaiah!!! We are so proud of our sweet boy!

Love to you all!

Vacation

Well, today is the day that I'm taking my baby on a plane for the first time. I'm still a bit anxious about it but I know we are in the Lord's hands! We covet your prayers today as we travel! We'll be sure to take many pictures of the new cousin, Eli!!!

Here are a couple pics of our sweet Isaiah to hold you over until we get back!
Isaiah is already working on his game face! Go Colts!!!

And he thinks his Mimi is FUNNY!

We love you all! We'll be back in a week!

Smiley Baby Boy

Isaiah is wearing a new outfit today that says "Smile" on it and I was able to catch several precious smiles from him this afternoon! I couldn't resist sharing them with our family and friends! :)

What a little flirt!

He was almost cackling in this picture!
He has just been SO fun the past couple weeks because he's really responding to us with smiles and cooing so much! We are just having a blast with him!

I also had to include this sweet picture of Isaiah with his Auntie Jess...
And I have to share a story...

I keep thinking one of these days (really soon!) Eric and I are going to turn around and Isaiah will be crawling! He is such a mover, and especially when he is lying down! We purposely put him down at one end of his crib because we know when he wakes up, he will undoubtedly be at the other end! Well, I was able to capture a picture that shows what a mover he is. I had him in a little gown the other day for one of his naps and when he woke up, this is what he looked like...

Hopefully you can tell the gown is DOWN AROUND HIS WAIST!!!

First Birthday as a Momma!

Yesterday was my birthday and it was a wonderful day! First of all, I just have to say that Isaiah must have known something special was going on because he slept so well for his momma the nights of the 13th, 14th, AND 15th!!! Hopefully that is the start of something REALLY good!

I got to spend the whole day with this precious little face!!!

And then last night, my precious husband arranged to have his sister Erin come over and watch Isaiah so he could take me out for a very nice dinner! We are so thankful for Erin and her willingness to stay with our little angel! Sorry about the dirty diaper and all the gas, Aunt Erin!

I have always been one that loved to give and receive gifts, so birthdays have always been fun for me! Well, no material gift could ever match the gift I received this year! Isaiah is a blessing that cannot possibly be described with words. Over dinner last night, Eric and I talked about how much we love Isaiah and how blessed we feel to have him in our lives. We both are overcome with emotion so often at this miracle that God has given us. As I write this, I have tears streaming down my face because of the overwhelming and powerful love I have for this little baby. I knew parenthood would be rewarding (and will continue to be so!) but I just did not anticipate how much my heart would melt when my baby would smile back at me. Or how I would feel like I might burst with excitement when I walk in the door after having been gone for a couple hours and I get to hold my sweet boy in my arms again. This love is just something you cannot fathom until you experience it and I am so thankful to the Lord for allowing me to love one of His creations so deeply! Whew...OK Jennifer, get control of yourself! :)

In closing, I will include a picture of my two dreams come true! Thank you, Jesus, for these boys, whom I love so madly!

I also have to give a quick shout-out to MY momma, who is celebrating a birthay TODAY!!! Happy Birthday momma/mimi!!!! WE love you so much and cannot wait to celebrate with you this weekend!!!!!!!!!

A New Cousin!

Unfortunately, because of the distance, I don't have any pictures to post of Isaiah's new cousin, but I couldn't NOT write about him! Elijah Christopher Heuer was born last night (10/10/07) at 9:00 p.m. in Florida! He was 7 pounds, 5 ounces and 21 inches long. His mommy did a fabulous job at bringing him into this world and we are so proud of both of them! And his daddy made it through without fainting or vomiting! We're proud of him too! :)

We will be traveling (YES, by plane!!! AAAAHHH) to visit them in two weeks so we'll be sure to take lots and lots of pictures to share with everyone!

Leah, Ian and Elijah...we love you so much and we can't wait to come visit!!! Yeah for new babies!

Another Great Weekend!

Hey all! Isaiah here...just thought I'd take a few moments to write about my fun weekend! Actually it started out kinda rough because I had to get some shots in my legs and that was not fun at all! Something good did come out of it, though. I found out that when I'm hurting like that, mommy and daddy will give me anything I want! I got to sleep extra and they held me a lot! It was really cool because I love it when my mommy and daddy hold me! I heard the doctor say that my appetite may not be very good after the shots but I keep hearing mommy say that she thinks it increased my appetite! I've been eating a lot and for long amounts of time! Anyway, enough about those shots...

My Mimi and Pop came to visit me this weekend and we had such a fun time! When Mimi is here, she lets me sleep in her room so we can give mommy a break! On Saturday afternoon, my Uncle David and Auntie Jess came to visit me too! I really like my Uncle David. He has a good singing voice and he makes lots of funny noises with his mouth. When we posed for this pictures, I thought I would try my best Elvis impersonation. What do you think??

In this picture, I was laughing at my Aunt Jess. She's a pretty funny girl. If you don't know her, you should take the time to get to know her! I bet she would make you laugh too!

On Saturday night, we all went out to eat and I got to get out of my car seat and look around at the restaurant. I also got to talk to Pop for a while. He's a pretty funny guy, too!

I was really happy about all the time I got to spend with my Pop! I just can't wait to be big enough to go fishing and golfing with Pop! I know we're going to have a great time! Also, mommy wants me to mention my cute pumpkin shirt...it says, "Daddy's Little Pumpkin"! She thinks it's really cute along with my jeans!

It was such a busy weekend that I was so tired I fell fast asleep in my Mimi's arms on Sunday afternoon. I couldn't help it, I was just tuckered out! It sure was a great weekend, though, and I'm so glad my family came to visit me! I love them all very much!
