22 months and 6 weeks

Oh my precious boys.  How I love them so!  I got brave today and took some pictures of the two of them together by myself!  It actually went really well!  Isaiah really does love his little brother and he loves smothering him with kisses!  I love how he's holding onto Noah's arm!
My sweet boys on the bed together!  I have so much love for the three of these men! :)
We had a great Memorial Day weekend.  My family came to visit and we were able to spend some time at the beach!  Here is Noah just chillin' with Mimi!  Check out that belly!
Sleepy time with Mimi
My angels with Auntie Jess and Uncle Dav-o!
Unfortunately I did not take any pictures with my dad :(  So here's one from last time!
Could this one be any cuter??? :)
Noah is six weeks old today and doing wonderfully!  He has given me over six hours of sleep the past couple nights which I am so thankful for!  He continues to gain weight and his neck continues to strengthen.  He reached a new milestone today and SMILED at mommy! :)

Isaiah is 22 months old today and he also is doing wonderfully!  He is an eating machine right now and even more of a talking machine.  We are amazed by what he repeats and says!  He picks up on absolutely everything!  He loves to help mommy with anything and everything!
Yesterday, while eating lunch, Isaiah counted to five all on his own!  I was so proud of him!  He loves to count and usually he starts with "three, four, five" and then adds some other numbers after that but yesterday he said one through five!  He continues to show some signs of potty training but I'm not sure he's quite there just yet.  He's getting pretty good at telling mommy once he's "poopy" or "wet".  He has also mastered saying "thank you" at the appropriate time!  I love to hear it when I haven't asked for it!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Not Feeling Well and One Month

We have had quite the sickness in this house the past couple weeks.  Isaiah caught a bad cold that turned into an ear infection and even though the infection is now gone, he is still struggling with his cold.  But, we are definitely better than we were!  And our little Noah also caught a little bit of the congestion and runny nose but he's a trooper!

I love this first picture because Noah looks like he is smirking! :)
Noah went to the doctor for his one month well-baby visit and I knew he had been packing on the pounds, but I didn't realize HOW MUCH he had really gained!  He weighed in at a whopping TEN pounds five ounces!  He was also 23 1/4 inches long.  He gained over two pounds from his two weeks appointment and he grew over two inches!  I looked in Isaiah's baby book to see when he clocked in at 10 pounds and it wasn't until he was nine weeks old!  Noah will catch up with Isaiah before we know it! :)
Isaiah is really growing to love his brother and I really don't think  he remembers being an only child.  The other morning I went to get Isaiah up and as soon as we got out of his room he started asking about Noah.  After Isaiah finished his breakfast, he heard Noah fussing so he immediately asked to get down from his high chair and ran into the other room to check on Noah.  He is a very good helper and always gets a diaper for me to change Noah and he runs to get the passy when Noah is upset.
The next couple pics are just some sweet ones of Isaiah when he didn't feel well.
Isaiah has gotten really good at using his manners.  He now will say "thank you" without being prompted and everything starts with "please".  We are so proud of Isaiah and pray he continues to have listening ears and an obeying heart!
Thank you Jesus for these two precious, healthy boys!  We feel so very blessed to be their mommy and daddy!

First Mother's Day with TWO babies!

Yesterday was a wonderful day and I loved every moment with my boys!  I feel like the luckiest woman in the world to have two healthy, precious baby boys and an amazing, loving, supportive husband!  Thank you Jesus for my wonderful family!

Noah - 2 weeks

Noah went to the Doctor today for a check-up and he checked out GREAT!  He has gained a whole pound since we were there last week and mommy was so thrilled about that!  He has really been a great nurser and has eaten so well!  He gained a little in his length and his head grew too so we know he is thriving!  The doc was very pleased with how everything looked and gave mommy and daddy both "gold stars" (as he put it)!
We have been working with Isaiah on "smiling real big" and this is usually what we get!  He sticks his chin out and gives an extremely fake smile!  Pretty cute, though!
Here are my two little angels together.  Isaiah is becoming more and more sweet with Noah.  We're still working on being gentle but he sure does love kissing all over Noah!

Brothers holding hands :)

21 months and almost two weeks

Well let me just say that my cup runneth over!  I am so head over heels in love with my two precious boys!  I am almost embarrassed to say it but there was a time I wasn't sure I was going to be able to love another little boy as much as I love Isaiah but it was instantaneous!!!!  I adore both of these children so much I can't even find words to describe it!

Isaiah is 21 months old today (CRAZY!) and has been a bit under the weather.  I tried to get some pictures of him today so I could put a new one on the side bar and the one I put on here was the best I could do.  You can see in his eyes that he doesn't feel well.  I love his little lips, though!  He continues to do well with Noah in the house and will voluntarily go love on him.  He loves to kiss Noah's head!

Noah is doing awesome and we can tell he is gaining weight.  He was born with full cheeks but I do believe they are a little fuller!  He is still sleeping lots and lots but has quite a few moments of wakefulness during the day.  We think Noah really looks a lot like I (Jennifer) did as a baby but he definitely has some of the same characteristics as Isaiah.  Noah goes back to the doctor on Thursday so I will for sure update after that, if not before then!

My next project is to get pictures of my angels together!

Noah's Birth Story

Last Thursday, April 16th, we had our 38 week appointment.  I had some pretty intense contractions the night before so I was guessing I had made some progress but I had NO idea how much progress had been made!  I just didn't know what to expect!  Dr. C measured my tummy first and I measured a week ahead.  Then came the other check.  FIVE CENTIMETERS!  I could not believe it.  In the same breath he said, "you are 5 cm. and you are going to the hospital tonight."  Eric and I were both shocked!  He called the hospital right there in our room and saved a spot for us.  He told us to get our things, grab a bite to eat and meet him at the hospital at 5 o'clock.  So, we got on the phone and called our parents and made arrangements for Isaiah.  All the while, we are completely shocked that I was walking around at 5 centimeters.

We arrived at the hospital around 5-5:30 and got all checked in.  We filled out our paperwork and got all our information in the system.  One of the worst parts of the evening came next...my IV.  I apparently have very "valve-y" and very "roll-y" veins.  They blew THREE of my veins before they called in the nurse anesthetist to numb me and finally on the fourth try, we got the IV in place!  The doctor came in at 7:30 to break my water and I was still at 5 cm.  I got the epidural at 8 p.m. and at the next check I was 8 cm.  The epidural was a great thing on the right side of my body but for some reason, it never did work on my left side.  For the rest of the process, I felt everything on my left side but had no feeling on my right.  Once I was 8 cm, I could feel extremely intense contractions and pressure on my left side.  It was very painful every 30 seconds when I would get those contractions!  I was finally 10 cm. and ready to push at 9:50 but the Dr. had me hold off for about 15-20 minutes because he had 4 other women also in labor at the same time!  I started pushing at 10:08 and our precious Noah entered this world at 10:13 p.m.  I only had two sets of pushes!  Praise the Lord for a quick and easy delivery!

These pictures were taken the morning we left while we were waiting for all of our check-out procedures!

Sweet, alert Noah
Oh the bright lights are just too much to handle!
My two boys hangin' out on the couch!
We are all pretty tired in the Heuer household but everything is going very well.  Noah went to the Dr. on Monday morning and was still at his discharge weight.  The Dr. was impressed with that saying that most babies lose a bit more after going home.  We are waking Noah every three hours for feedings and he is becoming a great little eater!  The first full day home with both boys was a bit of a challenge.  Isaiah just wasn't so sure about this new little life.  It has gotten better since that day but he still has moments when he tests the limits.  We are just so crazy about Noah and love both of our boys immensely.  What amazing blessings God has given us!
Thank you, Jesus!
